St. Petersburg Office of the Russian Federal Service for Consumer Protection and Human Welfare Board

The Russian Federal Service for Consumer Protection and Human Welfare (Rospotrebnadzor) is an executive body of federal authority that oversees coordination of sanitary and epidemiological activities that seek to assure welfare of the population of the Russian Federation, and guarantee their rights on the consumer market.

The Office carries out its activities in St. Petersburg directly and through its regional offices in coordination with other regional offices of other federal executive bodies, executive bodies of the city of St. Petersburg, local authorities, public associations and other organizations.

The head of the office is the chief sanitary physician for the city of St. Petersburg.

The Office consists of 15 main divisions and 7 territorial offices. Each territorial office is headed by the office head who serves as main state sanitary physician for the city district. The office employs a total of 649 professionals.

Construction and design issues, including issues of sanitary protection zones is overseen by the Department of Design And Construction Supervision.
